OLD FASHIONED CRISP

6 cups cranberries
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
2 cups pecans, chopped
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1 stick cold butter, cut in small pieces
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

In a bowl combine cranberries, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. In another bowl combine pecans, brown sugar and flour. Add butter and mix lightly with your fingers until crumbly. Fill a 2 to 2 1/2 quart glass baking dish with fruit mixture and top with pecan mixture. Bake until bubbly and golden brown, about 30 minutes. Serve hot or warm.

Yield: 6 to 8 servings
