Segmented Vase

This is a segmented vase I made for my mother's 80th birthday. The vertical staves are made from lacewood with sandwiches of holly and bloodwood for the stripes. The base is amboyna burl and the dark wood on the neck and raised bead is wenge. The dome of the vase is figured maple.
